So, time has passed and research has piled up. . .
In my first post, I stated the following, which I have learned is not true.
"At some point, which I have not determined yet, Everett abandoned his wife and daughters to go back to Panama, where he had been stationed during his time in the Army."
While Everett did leave his wife, Catherine, and three daughters to go back to Panama, he did not abandon them. It has been brought to my attention by Everett's daughter, that he asked Catherine to move to Panama with the girls. The reason Catherine did not move and take the girls is unknown.
